Innovate with Confidence. Modernize Without Disruption.

Moving from Salesforce-based Veeva CRM to Veeva Vault CRM is more than a technology upgrade. It is an opportunity to modernize commercial operations, simplify your technology landscape, and prepare your organization for current and future AI-enabled engagement.

Successful migrations don’t happen because of a deadline. They begin with a business strategy and company goals.

Featured - Veeva CRM to Vault CRM

At Conexus, we’ve developed a structured Five-Step CRM Migration Process that helps life sciences organizations reduce risk, preserve business continuity, and maximize the value of their Vault CRM investment.

Support for Salesforce-based Veeva CRM ends in December 2029, but many pharmaceutical organizations are choosing to migrate much earlier.

Why?

Because innovation has shifted to Vault CRM.

Organizations are looking beyond simply replacing a platform.

  • AI-enabled commercial capabilities
  • Modern medical engagement workflows
  • Updated reporting and dashboards
  • Simplified platform administration
  • Better interoperability across commercial and medical systems
  • A scalable foundation for future growth

The earlier organizations begin planning, the more flexibility they retain around timing, budgeting, internal resources, and vendor availability.

  • Experienced migration resources become limited
  • Internal priorities begin competing for budget
  • Integration timelines tighten
  • Business disruption becomes more likely
  • Process modernization and enhancements are postponed

Successful organizations don’t migrate because they’re forced to. They migrate when they still have options.

The Conexus Five-Step Vault CRM Migration Process

Unlike traditional system integrators that focus only on implementation, we support the complete migration lifecycle, setting your system up for post migration innovations

01

Education

Understand the key drivers involved before building a project. Help leadership teams make informed decisions long before execution begins.

02

Planning

We help build a realistic migration plan, based on your business goals that include:

  • Timeline development
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Budget assumptions
  • Success criteria
  • Communication Plan
03

Assessment

Every CRM environment is different. Understand what you have today. We evaluate:

  • Current CRM configuration, integrations, reporting, data, and processes
  • Identify technical debt and risk areas
  • Determine what moves, changes or should be retired.
  • Customizations

This creates a clear understanding of project complexity and defines an actionable roadmap for clean-up.

04

Clean Up

Simplify before you migrate.

  • Harmonize/consolidate security setup
  • Eliminate unused integrations
  • Improve data quality
  • Focus on what adds value to the business

Ensuring that you are aligned with your business strategy now and for the future.

05

Migration

Execution becomes easier because the difficult decisions have already been made.

Conexus provides:

  • Migration execution support
  • Internal support
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Training
  • Go-live support
  • Hypercare Services

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a 3rd Party Partner for Vault CRM Migration?

Veeva owns the Vault environment setup, configuration, technical enablement, and migration to Production. Conexus, as the migration partner working with your team oversees non-native integrations, data cleansing, SIT/UAT, report and dashboard rebuilds, and everything downstream that touches IT, commercial and medical operations.

When should we migrate to Vault CRM?

For most small-to-mid organizations, the practical window is 2026 through 2028. Vendor availability and internal capacity tighten sharply in the final 18 months before the 2029 deadline, and the organizations that move earlier keep more control over timing, budget, and scope. Most organizations have begun planning to ensure they complete the migration well before the support deadline to maximize flexibility and avoid resource constraints.

How long does a Vault CRM migration take?

Project duration varies by complexity, but well-prepared migrations are completed on average in three months, while larger enterprise programs may require additional planning and phased execution.

Why do I need to Migrate now when the system isn’t changing until end of 2029?

When a company commits to a Vault CRM migration, Veeva schedules the migration date around their internal system resources. Planning in advance ensures your migration date is aligned with your business needs.

What happens if we wait?

A severe industry bottleneck, higher implementation costs, and a hard deadline crunch. Because Veeva CRM contract with Salesforce reaches its final end-of-support by December 2029, delaying your transition creates critical operational risks.

Do we have to move to Vault CRM, or can we move to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud?

You do not have to move to Vault CRM; you can choose to move to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or any other compliant provider, before the legacy Salesforce-based Veeva CRM support ends.

What actually changes when we migrate from Veeva CRM to Vault CRM? Will my system look the same?

Vault CRM is a distinct platform – the means to configure and customize your solution will change. The online user experience will appear slightly different, more visually consistent with other Veeva Vault applications.  While the Veeva App will be new the user experience will remain identical to that of Veeva CRM.

What happens to our custom objects, MyInsights dashboards, and Flows?

Both standard Veeva and custom objects and fields will be recreated and reconfigured during the migration process. MyInsights transitions into the X-Pages. Non-native Vault features like Flows will be replaced with native and equivalent Vault functionality.

What happens to our integrations?

During a migration existing third-party and legacy integrations must be rebuilt. Conexus will coordinate with your integration partners to provide access to the appropriate Vault environments and to oversee end-to-end testing, ensuring successful reconnection.

How does validation work in a Vault CRM migration?

Validation is done via sandbox dry runs, mapping checks, and migration mode setting to verify data and process integrity. Conexus support adds another layer of confidence in your validation process.

What does a Vault CRM migration cost, and what drives the price?

Veeva Vault CRM migration for small and mid-size life science companies typically involves three distinct elements: the migration, migration support and third-party integration updates.

Veeva provides an understanding of their migration costs, while migration support and integration partners will require additional budget for their services.
